I'm a product-minded tech lead who builds things end-to-end: from user research to system design to shipping code. I care about solving the right problems, not just solving problems right. Outside work, I'm a ski bum, rock climber, amateur powerlifter, jazz pianist, and aspiring polyglot.
Here what I'm up to these days
leading the feature flag team at PostHog—owning product direction, roadmap, and engineering for our feature-flag-as-a-service offering
was the founding cloud software engineer @
BRINC, where I built the initial version of the web app and data platform and
worked with an incredible team to help first responders save lives. Check out what my team and I built.
served as a corporate board member @
The Lundquist Institute, where I focused on education, marketing, and outreach
written technical content for various software companies through
Dev Spotlight.
mentored junior designers and software engineers @
ADPList.
was a founding engineer @
Cercle, where I built the consumer app and had a lot of fun working at the
intersection of AI and Healthcare
was an early hire @
Mercury, where I worked on all the things that come with working at an early-stage
startup, but I mostly owned international payments
worked on OSS libraries for functional Scala and did several software
consulting gigs (largely focused on data pipelines and distributed systems)
@
47 Degrees (now Xebia Functional)
spent 5 years @
Qualtrics, where I led a team that worked on test tooling & infrastructure, and I
was a senior IC on a team that did web-scale distributed systems
studied physics, computer science, mathematics, film, and music at
Whitman College, where I also played in the jazz band, sang in an a capella group, and was
on the tennis and ultimate frisbee teams
skied on 4 different continents (my goal is to ski on all 7!)
Here are some things I'm into
building products end-to-end: talking to users, scoping MVPs, shipping fast, and iterating
developer tools and making engineers more productive
compilers, interpreters, and languages (both for computers and humans)
LLM-assisted workflows and figuring out what still needs a human in the loop
running, biking, and recreational sports
powerlifting
skiing, rock climbing, and hiking
playing, writing, and producing music
fashion, architecture, and intentional aesthetic design
ergonomic keyboards

Finally, I currently don't have bandwidth to take on any additional mentees,
sorry in advance to folks who I haven't been able to respond to.
